88.06.09 General News Page 7

[Staff Report]

From the 1st of next month the North District post office will open Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to noon for mail, savings and simple life insurance.

The change is for office workers, the post office said. Weekday hours are unchanged, but extended Wednesday afternoon service will end.

The parcel season is coming and people should mail early; parcels to the outlying islands and remote areas take one or two days longer.

The post office's ATM has also been replaced, now with deposits, available 24 hours.
