Fall Flu Shots Start Next Month

[Staff Report]

The health center said fall flu vaccinations begin on the 1st of next month, free for district residents aged 65 and older; bring your health insurance card and ID.

In past years the first day drew long lines, so this year dates will be assigned by borough, with borough offices notifying residents in advance.

Anyone with a fever or acute illness should wait; people with serious egg allergies should tell the doctor first.

Besides seniors, people with serious illnesses and residents of care homes also qualify for free shots. Questions can go to the health center's nursing station.
