District Games Torch Relay Route Announced

[Staff Report]

This year's district games torch relay route was announced yesterday. The roughly twelve-kilometer route starts at the plaza in front of the district office, loops the district's main roads and ends at the sports ground.

Students from school sports classes and local sports groups will carry the torch in relay, starting at 8 a.m. and reaching the finish around 11. Borough offices along the way will set up cheering stations.

Police said traffic will be stopped briefly as the relay passes, about ten to fifteen minutes at each point. Drivers should take detours and avoid waiting at intersections.

The district office said there will be a fair at the sports ground the same day, with stalls from each borough.
