Ghost Festival Offerings in Each Borough Mid-Month

[Staff Report]

Ghost Festival offering ceremonies will be held in the district's boroughs in the middle of the month, mostly in front of community centers or on vacant lots. See borough notices.

Residents bring their own offerings, which are shared out after the ceremony, borough offices said. Some boroughs with little space will hold it in shifts.

Environmental officials asked that spirit money be burned only in the furnaces provided, not by the roadside, and that packaging be sorted for recycling rather than left behind.

The fire department reminded people to burn spirit money away from vehicles and flammable things, and to make sure every spark is out before leaving.
