Branch Library Now Open Sundays

[Staff Report]

The North District branch library is open Sundays from this month, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., ending the old Sunday closing.

Summer visits are up about 50 percent, mostly students, the library said, and Sunday hours should ease the shortage of seats on Saturdays.

The second-floor study room has 120 seats, first come, first served, no saving seats; anyone away for more than thirty minutes gives up their seat.

Summer story time for children is Wednesdays at 10 a.m., free, while space lasts.
