Used Clothing Bin Pickup Times Change

Environmental officials said used clothing bins in the district will be emptied Tuesday and Friday mornings from this month, up from once a week, because more is being donated.

Some bins often overflow, and people pile clothes outside them, where rain ruins them, officials said. If a bin is full, please use another location.

Only reusable clothes, shoes and bags are accepted. Quilts, pillows and damaged or dirty clothing should go out with regular trash.

Bin locations are available from borough offices; more bins may be added depending on use.
