Work on New Scooter Parking Starts Next Week[Staff Report] The district office said it will add about 180 scooter parking spaces around the North District market, working in sections from next week, with completion in about three weeks. Scooters have long been parked on sidewalks and in arcades around the market, making it hard for pedestrians, the office said. Once the spaces are added, illegal parking will be ticketed more strictly. One side of some roads will be closed during the work; please follow detour signs. Shops along the way remain accessible. Parking will be free, but no long-term occupation; scooters left for more than seven days with no one claiming them will be towed. Reader DiscussionReplies 0
